Katherine Gracer
Owner and Instructor
Katherine has been dancing since the age of 5 and instructing her own classes since the age of 14. She began her career in Detroit, MI, with her instructor, Vivian Otto. Katherine has studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Irish, Hip Hop, Ballroom, and Zumba. She recently expanded her movement therapy program by becoming certified to teach dance and fitness to those diagnosed with autism, multiple sclerosis, people who are in hospice, pregnant women, and water therapy! Katherine believes that everyone can experience the enjoyment of dance! Currently, she is pursuing her masters in counseling at Central Michigan University and recently received a certification in Life Coaching. Katherine and her husband are excited to spend their summer with their four year old son, Luke.
Sarah Angus
Theater Dance Instructor
Sarah teaches theatrical dance and the opening/closing number class. She is also an instructor at InMotion's summer dance and theater camps. This is her eighth year as an instructor, and she loves watching her students learn and grow. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in education. She is currently working as a paraprofessional at Woodcrest Elementary School. She resides in Mt. Pleasant with her husband Tyler, and her two year old son, Sam.
Ed Birdsall
Ballroom Dance Instructor
Ed has been InMotion Dance Academy's Ballroom Dance instructor for six years. During that time he has had the opportunity to assist many couples with a ballroom dance routine for their first dance as husband and wife. Ed also instructs ballroom classes for those who enjoy having fun while learning new dance moves.
Bridgette Anspaugh
Assistant Ballroom Instructor
Bridgette loves to dance! She has studied and performed with InMotion Dance Academy for five years, learning Irish, Ballet, Pointe, and Ballroom. Last year, Bridgette became a staff member at InMotion Dance Academy, assisting the Ballroom Dance classes. Bridgette is also a recent graduate of Northwood University, and works at an animal clinic in Bay City teaching animal obedience classes. In her spare time, Bridgette enjoys spending time with her many dogs, ducks, cats, and chickens.
Stacey Nold
Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Zumba
Stacy Nold has been dancing in the Midland area since she was four years old and instructing since she was sixteen. She studied and taught classes in ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap. Stacy is a graduate of Central Michigan University and a certified teacher in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle Level Education. She is currently working in Saginaw Township Community Schools at White Pine Middle School.
Mary Ann Tolly
Belly Dance Instructor
Mariana(Mary Ann Tolly) has been a performer, student and teacher of Traditional Middle Eastern Belly Dance with over 30 years experience. With a wide range of performances in different venues and a career in Nursing, she has worked with dancers of all skills and physical abilities, including dancers in wheel chairs and maternity. Veil work, Sword, and Zills (finger
cymbals) are her speciality, with an emphasis on proper posture and technique. Marina considers Pava Johnson from Peria IL to be her mentor, however, she has studied with Garnet Kepler, Aida Aldri, Fathiem, Jasmine Jahal, and several other instructors from the USA and other countries. Mary Ann also studied Ballet with Gloria Dean and Modern/Liturgical with LJ Cavanaugh and Lori Belove of the Isadora Duncan institute of NYC. She has attended numerous workshops including
Middle Eastern, Modern, Indian Odessa, and Dancing Wheels.
